Women's Smears

The cervical screening programme currently starts at age 25 with 3 yearly until the age of 50 to 65 when smears are every 5 years. You will be invited to contact the Practice to make an appointment when your next smear is due. If you are unable to get an appointment that is suitable to you, please feel reassured that Family Planning Clinics in Bangor, Newtownards and Holywood (see above for times etc) offer a smear service with no appointment necessary, results will be shared with the Practice. Smear results take 6 weeks.

All Patients over the age of 40 are advised to have their BP checked annually. Please ring to make an appointment or alternatively pop in at your own convenience and use our Self Check Machine - located in our GP Waiting Area. Please ask Reception for more details.

Contraception services - Dr Montgomery & Dr Neoh provide a Contraceptive Implant & Coil insertion and removal service, please ask Receptionist for more information.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Mr Alistair Shaw provides in house CBT Sessions -access via GP Referral.
Annual flu immunisation programme - the Practice writes to all patients who are eligible for the Annual Flu Vaccination.
